The EDRS is pleased to host two workshops on Single-Use Items Reduction Strategies.
Location: Edson Galloway Station Museum
When: June 20th starting at 2pm AND June 20th starting at 7pm
The environmental impacts of single-use items are a growing source of concern for communities, governments of all levels and the public at large. This workshop will feature organizations that have made efforts to address the impacts of single-use items in their communities, as well as policies being adapted by various levels of government. Updates from different municipalities in Alberta and Western Canada, including Fort McMurray and Vancouver will also be featured.
The afternoon session will be geared more for municipal councillors, West Yellowhead Landfill Authority members and the business community. The evening workshop will be directed more towards the general community, including youth groups. Although each session has a general theme they are open to all individuals.
