The EDRS has added a new facility for the reuse of building materials. It is located beside the Take it or Leave it and has become a part of the hub for reuse in Edson.
Common Items: The BMRC deals primarily with large items such as sofas, desks, bookshelves and chairs as well as household renovation and building items. You will often find lighting fixtures, small tools, new flooring and knobs, levers and spare parts. Sporting equipment, garden items and more are also available here. A full list of items is coming soon!
Cost: There is no charge for drop off, items for purchase range from free $0 to $20. Funds gathered from the Building Material Reuse Centre and the Take it or Leave it go towards various community programs run by the EDRS. Programs include but are not limited to seniors programming, community gardens, school programming, environmental education in the community and schools and more!
As of June 3rd, 2020 the Take it or Leave it and Building Material Reuse Centre hours are as follows:
Pick Up
*at the Take it or Leave it and Building Material Reuse Centre buildings*
Wednesdays from 10am to 6pm
Saturdays from 10am to 4:30pm
Drop Off
*drop off at main recycle depot building ONLY*
Monday to Saturday from 9am to 4:30pm
